President Donald Trump’s new tariffs on over a dozen countries could reshape global supply chains, but India’s ability to benefit depends largely on the tariff rates it faces, says Jayant Dasgupta, former Indian envoy to the WTO. India is currently engaged in talks with the US amid hopes of sealing a “mini” trade deal to avoid further tariffs.
