RITES gets ₹38 crore relief after Gujarat tax authority partially

RITES has received ₹38.30 crore relief in a FY20 tax, interest and penalty demand after the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax (Appeal-1), Ahmedabad, allowed its appeal and partially set aside the demand order. The company had earlier made a ₹1.93 crore pre-deposit and said there is no further liability under the demand order, subject to applicable law.
